Pursuant to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA), hospital facilities must perform a community health needs assessment every three years and adopt an implementation strategy to meet the community health needs identified. In collaboration with our community partners, University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center last completed a comprehensive Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) in 2021 to evaluate the heath needs of individuals living in Southern Maryland.

The Community Health Needs Assessment presents data and key factors impacting the health of Charles County residents. An update CHNA will be produced in June 2024.

The CHNA reports included below present the data and key factors impacting the health of the communities we serve.
